For the safety and security of our students, children will only be released to authorised adults and responsible siblings (of high school age or above) and whose details have been shared with the school.

However, students in Year 6 may be permitted to walk home independently, once their parent has completed the Google Dismissal Form (please note that this is released annually). Parents can also request for Y5 children to be released independently, however this must be submitted to and approved by the Headteacher.

Pupils in the below year groups will not be released to other Grimsdyke students:

• Reception
• Year 1
• Year 2
• Year 3
• Year 4

Pupils in Year 6 may pick up a sibling in Year 5 if both have permission to walk home from school or on a one-off occasion where a written request is sent to the school office to be authorised by a member of the SLT. The Year 6 pupil must have permission to walk home for this to be approved.
